Dear Parents, Guardians and Community Members Assalam-u-Alaikum,

It is hard to believe we are already in March and getting ready for spring break. February brought several events like STUCO Elections, Science Fair, Walkathon, Scholastic Book fair, G.R.A.N.D. Luncheon, Coffee with the Principal,  Breakfast with Dads, and PSIA. Each event holds great importance for parents and students alike and adds to the academic and social growth of all students.

Congratulations to all students, teachers and parents who worked hard for months preparing for the private school interscholastic association competition and for doing a great job.

Middle and High School students displayed great discipline, enthusiasm, and leadership during student council elections. I would like to congratulate and welcome 2017 STUCO President Faizan Ahmed, Vice President Sama Natsheh, Secretary, Iman Siddiqui, and Treasurer Haleema Imran.

I would also like to start a new tradition and invite STUCO advisors and officers to have a monthly meeting with the principal and share their ideas for field trips, after school clubs, and other suggestions.

We got together to celebrate our students hard work and creativity at the Science Fair and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all students who placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions at all grade levels.

Sr. Samra, Sr. Heena and Sr. Mariane I would like to congratulate you and say thank you for leading the students and supporting them in their path to greater success. Student Council’s Walkathon was a  great success and a breath of fresh air for parents and students. It was a very well planned event and an excellent show of teamwork by STUCO members under your leadership. Total funds raised for School Smoothie Bar $1400.00.

I would also like to thank Old Town Creamery for donating ice cream for sale at the walkathon.

Book fair was an exceptional success this year and once again our librarian, Sr. Hina Khan was successful in spearheading the event. ($4,325.09 in sales with $2,162.55 of scholastic dollars towards the purchase of more books for Good Tree Library)

I applaud and congratulate Good Tree students for their outstanding performance at so many levels, and thank all the teachers and parents for working hard and enriching students lives every day.

Uzma Khan
