Pre Alim Program
Our high school offers Pre-Alim classes starting in grade 10. Throughout their years at Good Tree students study Islam. The Pre-Alim studies are more in depth and prepare them for higher education at Islamic colleges and universities such as Qalam Institute or Zaytuna College.
Imam Nadim Bashir
Pre-Alim and Islamic Studies Teacher
Imam Nadim Bashir began his educational journey in New Orleans where he was able to develop his foundation in Arabic and Fiqh. He then transferred overseas to study at Jamia Taalimul-Islam, Dewsbury, U.K. for seven years where he received Ijaazaat in various Islamic Sciences, including Arabic, Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Hadith, Tafseer, Tajweed, and Qira’ah. He graduated in 2003 and has been serving Deen in the U.S. till today.

In this 23-minute video, four students from Good Tree Academy’s pre-alim program talk about battling atheism, strength in faith and benefitting from Qur’an’s guidance. The students share how small class sizes, Qur’anic and core curriculum and specialized instructors are helping cultivate the next generation of Muslim scholars and leaders.
